“You HAVE to see this show! The actors fit perfectly into their roles, the comic timing is wonderful, and the controlled, chaotic scene is hilarious mayhem! My friend and I loved it! We needed a good laugh after a hectic week, and boy, did we ever get it!”
“WARNING! “Shakespeare in Hollywood” will make you LAUGH! Richard Davis cast this show perfectly. Oberon and Puck, (Joe Greulich and Adele Crotty) make you believe in the green woods and all of the magic they perform. You will not be able to take your eyes off of Lydia. (Rachel Peteritis-Greaves) Lydia captures the 1930’s look and demeanor with her beautiful wig, wardrobe, and acting. What a delight to watch Olivia. (Marann K. Curtis) Her opening dialog sets the fast pace that never lets up in this production. Daryl (Evan O’Polka) has perfected the “YES Man.” Will Hayes (Chris Bucci) is the funniest villain you will ever hate! Jack Warner (Jeremy D. Pierce) does a fantastic job with the slap stick comedy of his character. Max (Alan C. Koch) has a wonderful accent. You can always understand what Max is saying. Louella (Maureen Jeffereys) will make you believe in “love at first sight.” You will be amazed at Dick Powell’s (Cole Salo) faint. The ensemble is
always contributing to the story. The supporting music is charming and light. The sound effects add to this glorious comedy. I would rate the show PG-13 because of adult humor. However, the show is never crass. “Shakespeare in Hollywood” is a MUST see if you need to laugh.”

Shakespeare in Hollywood is a fast paced funfilled evening of pure hilarity. Your stomach will hurt from laughing so hard, especially in the second act. A Playhouse Must SEE!

I was suprisinglypleased with the performance. I went into the show, quite frankly, not knowing WHAT to expect. It was hilarious! My favorite line was, “CALL Aunt Ethel!!!”.
I found the characters to be varied & ideal for their parts. I especially enjoyed Mr. Warner (Pierce); he was quite boisterous & the “leading lady”l I thought about it for days; she reminded me of Rosie Perez!
Great job!

My friend asked me to go to see this show when her mother went down with the flu. I was not originally going to because I am not a “Shakespeare” fan by any means. What I found after the lights went down, however, was sheer hilarity from start to finish and I’m so glad that I didn’t miss it.
What a wonderful show with a wonderful cast. If you have NO interest what-so-ever in Shakespeare, you will still find it a delight with quirky characters, well staged bits and excellent timing throughout the two-hour presentation. When the flower causes havoc later in the show, the slapstick is just amazing (not to give it away but…..when Hays, Chris Bucci, falls in love with himself in ACT 2…..I almost fell off of my chair from laughing so hard…..wow).
All in all, I recommend this show for everyone who just wants to go out and laugh for a while. It is really, really great!!

I recommend seeing Shakespeare in Hollywood to anyone reading this. I’m really glad that I went to see this performance. I have never been to the playhouse before and what a great show to keep me interested. After seeing the performance, I will definitely be checking out future shows. With little knowledge of what the play was about, I wasn’t sure that I would enjoy it. It was conveyed in such an easy to understand and comical way. I think that Lydia was my favorite character. When you kick back, relax and enjoy yourself to the point where you laugh wholeheartedly, you know that you have been a part of something good. I really enjoyed myself.
