Emily is originally from Erie, and is a graduate of Villa Maria Academy. She earned her BA in Theatre and Communication Arts from Gannon University in 2005. In May 2007, Emily graduated from NYU with an MA in Educational Theatre and received her certification to teach theatre in grades K-12. After grad school, Emily worked as the Education Associate at Wingspan Arts, Inc. in New York City. She joined the Playhouse Family in 2008. Since becoming Youtheatre/Education Director, Emily has directed The Princess Who Would Not Marry, Disney's Geppetto and Son, Anne of Green Gables, and Showstoppers. She is looking forward to the 2009-2010 Youtheatre Shows, How I Became a Pirate, Disney's High School Musical 2, and Babes in Toyland.
