Emily is originally from Erie, and is a graduate of Villa Maria Academy. She earned her BA in Theatre and Communication Arts from Gannon University in 2005. In May 2007, Emily graduated from NYU with an MA in Educational Theatre and received her certification to teach theatre in grades K-12. After grad school, Emily worked as the Education Associate at Wingspan Arts, Inc. in New York City. She joined the Playhouse Family in 2008. Since becoming Youtheatre/Education Director, Emily has directed The Princess Who Would Not Marry, Disney's Geppetto and Son, Anne of Green Gables, Disney's High School Musical 2, Babes in Toyland, Cinderella, Frosty, and Showstoppers. Emily also works as an education ambassador for the Playhouse in the Erie community by participating in programs with CHAMPS, The Barber National Institute, the Red Cross, and many others. She is looking forward to the 2011-2012 Youtheatre Shows, Pinkalicious, Disney's Camp Rock, and Disney's Alice in Wonderland.
