This August, our annual celebration of the Playhouse community is BIGGER THAN EVER: we’re taking Playhouse Week and turning it into PLAYHOUSE MONTH!
We’re taking some of your favorite events, mixing in a few twists – and even some brand NEW programming to spread the week of revelry across the entire month of August!

The Ones That Got Away gives our performers a chance at redemption as they present songs and roles they missed out on in years – even decades – past. Whether it’s a role they never had the chance to audition for, a show that came out once they’d already “aged out,” or one of those many times we’ve all found ourselves not getting cast, The Ones That Got Away showcases incredible Playhouse voices (finally) singing some of their favorite Broadway numbers.

Erie Playhouse 2027 Season Launch Party

As a loyal patron of the Erie Playhouse, we invite you to join us this Playhouse Month for our 2027 Season Reveal & Launch Party! The celebration begins on Sunday, August 23 at 6:00 p.m. with a light reception at the Erie Playhouse followed by the big reveal of our 2027 season live from our stage!
After the show, we invite you to join us next door for desserts at Five Iron Golf, 1000 State Street.
New this year: subscribers had early access to reserve complimentary tickets for the 2027 Erie Playhouse Launch Party. Through July 31st, subscribers could call or visit the Box Office (814-454-2852) to reserve up to two tickets per subscription. Remaining tickets are now available to the public!

Let’s play THE FEUD! Local Celebrity Ken Falkenhagen hosts an interactive version of the beloved game show live on the Playhouse stage, with more than $4,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs! Members of the audience will be selected to play alongside celebrity team captains from Playhouse productions including DISNEY’S FROZEN, MEAN GIRLS, A DOLL’S HOUSE, 1776, HAIRSPRAY and COME FROM AWAY.
Plus, audience members will be selected to win door prizes and other drawings throughout the night! Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and gameplay begins at 7:00 p.m. Check in no later than 6:45 p.m. to guarantee you’re included in prize drawings.
Two ticket options are available: PASS or PLAY.
- If you purchase a $15 PASS ticket, you’ll enjoy the night as a spectator and will not be included in the drawing to play FEUD on stage. However, you’ll still be included in the drawings for door prizes, consolation prizes, and winning prizes. It’s the perfect option for folks who want to win big without the pressure of playing on stage.
- If you purchase a $20 PLAY ticket, your name will be included in the drawings to fill the spots on each of the six teams competing throughout the night. You could be among the lucky individuals playing alongside the Playhouse celebrity team captains! And while your PLAY ticket doesn’t guarantee that you’ll make it on stage, you’ll still be included in the drawings for door prizes, consolation prizes, and winning prizes.
The evening consists of three “episodes” of FEUD, with two intermissions. The concessions stand and bar will be open, and 50/50 and raffle basket tickets will be available for purchase.
Recommended for ages 13 and up. Must be 18 or older to purchase tickets. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

We’re bringing together Playhouse Icons for an evening of candid history, storytelling and reminiscing. This year, we welcome EP legends Patti Sullivan, Jim Griffey, Krista Perry, Rich Tryzbiak, and Almi Clerkin to the stage for our live, intimate conversation moderated by Executive Director Zach Flock.
Join us for a mix-and-mingle happy (half) hour in the lobby starting at 5:30 p.m. The bar and concession stand will be open for purchases. The panel discussion will follow on stage beginning at 6:00 p.m. FREE ADMISSION.

Due to concerns over the weather, we have decided to cancel the Playhouse Community Picnic. Even though we have the LEAF Education Center booked, the potential storms will likely impact attendance and limit our ability to use outdoor areas of the park.
We appreciate those who signed up to bring items, and we apologize for the short notice. We hope you’ll join us at the Playhouse Happy Hour on Thursday and other Playhouse Month festivities!
Calling all Playhouse volunteers, patrons, board, staff, supporters and family! Members of the Playhouse community are invited to gather in celebration of Playhouse Month at our all-ages potluck-style event at the Lake Erie Arboretum at Frontier Park.
We’ll set up food and drinks inside the Education Center and enjoy the many attractions of Frontier Park! Guests are encouraged to bring food, drinks, and/or other items needed for the potluck: sign up at the link here.
