Our 2024 annual report is now available! In it, you’ll find the latest chapter in the story of the Erie Playhouse. It’s a story more than a century in the making, and one that we hope will unfold for many more years to come.
CONNECTION is published at the conclusion of each year. It’s a summary of our season, and an acknowledgment of — and a sincere thank you to — the many people who make it all possible.
It’s also our report card, chronicling our fundraising efforts, our production outcomes, and the overall financial picture of the Playhouse. It’s a picture that continues to get better and brighter, thanks to dedicated, loyal supporters like you.
Our annual report tells the story of our year, and it’s a great one! Attendance is up as audiences continue to return in incredible numbers. Sponsorships and community partnerships have increased.
We’ve welcomed new members to our staff, added new programming to our slate, and awarded our first two David & Judy Matthews Scholarships. Showstoppers are back, Youtheatre is booming, and the Playhouse community is growing.
Plus, for the first time in several years, we’ve met (and surpassed) our annual fund goal. It’s been a very good year!
While I’m so proud of the work we’ve accomplished together this year, I’m also incredibly excited about what’s to come. 2024’s Season of Blockbusters has ended and we’re rolling through 2025’s slate of Soaring Tales and Epic Adventures with so much enthusiasm.
The best part of my job is talking with members of the Playhouse community about this place we all love. From patrons and donors to pit musicians and volunteers, your shared passion and sense of purpose keep us all coming back. Your stories, your gratitude, and your appreciation for the work we do fuel us all. The recovery of the Playhouse in challenging times would not be possible without the dedication and support of people like you.
