The Playhouse’s annual Youtheatre Summer Kickoff is back with FREE performances, crafts, family activities and more!
Kicking off at 11 a.m., families and friends of all ages will enjoy arts and crafts with PLAYtime, a FREE lemonade stand at lobby concessions, raffle baskets and prizes, performances and more!
Relax and take a break after the free activities on our tenth-street sidewalk, lobby and lower levels with performances on stage from PLAYtime, Showstoppers and Playhouse productions, including: ONCE UPON A MATTRESS, JUNIE B’S ESSENTIAL SURVIVAL GUIDE TO SCHOOL JR, 1776, HAIRSPRAY and DISNEY’S FROZEN!
EVENT LINEUP:
11 a.m. – doors open, event begins!
INCLUDING:
- PLAYtime craft, downstairs rotunda
- FREE lemonade stand, served at concessions
- eDogg’s Hot Dog Truck, outside under marquee
- Alsies Ice Cream, outside under marquee
- Raffle prizes, inside the theatre
- Taradoodles glitter tattoos (11am-12pm)
11:30 am – Showstoppers Performance
12 to 1 pm – Therapy Dogs United visit!
12:30 pm – Mainstage & Youtheatre Performances:

- “Good Morning Baltimore” and “It Takes Two” from HAIRSPRAY
- “Shy” and “Yesterday I Loved You” from ONCE UPON A MATTRESS
