Take Jane Austen’s classic novel Emma and combine it with the hit songs of legendary girl groups and iconic female singers and you get our next Youtheatre production of the 2025 season is EMMA! A POP MUSICAL, on stage November 7-16!
Emma, a senior at Highbury Prep, is certain she knows what’s best for her classmates’ love lives, and is determined to find the perfect boyfriend for shy sophomore Harriet by the end of the school year. But will Emma’s relentless matchmaking get in the way of finding her own happiness?
This sparkling new musical features hit songs like “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” “How Will I Know,” “Brave,” and “Roar.” Girl power has never sounded so good!
Auditions for EMMA! A POP MUSICAL, for ages 10-18, will be held August 17 & 18 with an audition workshop on August 16. Learn more here!

Join us for our FREE Youtheatre Summer Kickoff
Sunday June 1, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
All are welcome to this FREE event showcasing some of the best young talent in the Erie area plus activities, snacks, face-painting, therapy dogs, crafts, goodies, raffles and more for families to enjoy.
Kids of all ages will enjoy FREE activities, including public performances from our own Playhouse Showstoppers at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Taradoodles will be on hand, creating her signature facepainting masterpieces! Help upgrade our own Playhouse sidewalk when you create chalk art for all to enjoy under the marquee. Grab a free lemonade, add to our Youtheatre memory books, enjoy make-and-take crafts, selfie stations, visits with therapy dogs from Therapy Dogs United and more!
Available for purchase, we’ll have goodies from E DOGG’S Hot Dogs, Casey’s Ice Cream Cart, and raffle tickets to win prizes from local vendors.
Summer Camp: CREATE-A-PLAY and ENCORE camps filling fast!
Choose from Create-A-Play (for campers entering 1st through 10th grade) or Encore Camp: performing SHREK THE MUSICAL JR (for returning campers entering 3rd through 12th grade) this summer!
These full-day Youtheatre camps will be held Monday-Friday from 9:30 am-3:30pm with a performance for families on Friday at 3pm.
Camp will be held at Robert Benjamin Wiley Community Charter School’s Preparatory Campus at 426 Eagle Point Blvd.
Camp fees include daily snacks and a camp T-shirt!
