Performance

Auditions for the Mainstage are held throughout the year. Current audition information is available. Auditions for the Youtheatre take place throughout the year usually 4-6 weeks prior to a scheduled production. Information is available on the website or in the Showcase section of the Erie Times News.

Board of Directors

The Erie Playhouse actively seeks members for our dedicated and hard-working Board of Directors. Do you have about 5-10 hours per month? Do you love live theatre? Would you like to help support one of the greatest community theatres in the nation? If you answered yes, then we want to talk to you. We always seek professionals with the following skills — legal, accounting, marketing, strategic planning, financial, human resource, community relations, production-related experience and much more.

Most of all, you must care and give of your time and talents to a community asset that has thrilled audiences for over 94 years. Board members are elected for a three-year term.

To apply, please complete the Board of Directors Application. Please note: Applications for Board membership must be received no later than April 30 to be considered for the upcoming season.

Ushers

One of our more popular volunteer opportunities is ushering at the Playhouse. Ushers are needed for our Mainstage productions, Concerts and Special Events. Duties include selling 50/50 tickets and concession, in addition to collecting tickets and seating patrons in the theatre. If you are interested in ushering at the Playhouse, please contact us or call 814-454-2852 ext. 0.

Instrumentalists

Come join the musicians at the Erie Playhouse and be a part of an American musical heritage. The volunteer pit musicians have played everything from Gershwin to Sondheim as well as Hammerstein, Elton John, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Bernstein, Menken, Yeston and many others. If you would like to be a part of this experience then please email Andrew to let him know that you are interested in this exhilarating opportunity.
